Our engineering 101
Paper DIY is a completely different beast to wooden or plastic materials. Paper is thin and prone to wearout, which doesn't give many opportunities for building and exploring. It's a continuous process where every engineering decision becomes a pillar of a greater piece.
Creator One
The engineering process doesn't follow any rules when you're building something from scratch without any benchmark or pointers to whatever is the right direction to take, or what decision to make. Creator One was paramount in defining what is premium paper DIY and why it matters to consumers.

Are all laser cuts made equal?
Are all laser cuts made equal?
No. There are only a handful of factories who have the deep knowledge and experience to use a CO2 laser for cutting paper like we do. Luckily enough - some of those factories are located in Europe, and Creator One is made in one of them.

We engineered Creator One to resist drop tests at 70cm high with a straight fall and no velocity at the initial drop point. There are of course some use cases that will go beyond those points - we hope you will take care of it.

Yes. We bound the Design Handbook with a double metal stapling technique for the assembler to lay it flat on a hard surface, no matter which page it's opened at.
How long will the tape last on my Creator One?
How long will the tape last on my Creator One?
Our tape is made of a surface primer and a 3M double-sided adhesive. We engineered the minimum Taping Surface Area (mTSA) for each DIY element to be able to withstand a vertical charge (when Creator One is in display mode) for more than 5 years.

About half of our papers are mass tinted, meaning their colour will stay intact for as long as the paper does not suffer from physical damage. The other half is offset printed, a premium technique using metal plates to transfer colours into the base material. This four-colour printing process ensures high contrasts that will not move over time.
What if I display my Creator One next to a heater?
What if I display my Creator One next to a heater?
Some paints or other colouring methods can be altered by UV light or heat. Our offset printing process allows for Creator One to keep colours unmatched and untouched. The paper itself will not deform even from a prolonged contact to mild heat - of course, do not keep it where fire could catch.
