Our engineering 101

Paper DIY is a completely different beast to wooden or plastic materials. Paper is thin and prone to wearout, which doesn't give many opportunities for building and exploring. It's a continuous process where every engineering decision becomes a pillar of a greater piece.

Mastering the basics

As a premium brand, before anything else be it fancy features or complex engineering solutions, we must deliver the market's highest quality and performance. This means becoming true experts of what we do, what can make or break our products: we're hands-on from the raw material's chemical composition down to the every bits and pieces of the fully assembled set.

Robust and durable

Paper or not, we won't sell a premium product that breaks. It's of utmost importance to us that when buying our sets you're confident you will engage in a DIY activity that's soothing, rewarding and full of learning. So we research, prototype and test the most fit engineering solutions for each product we build - so that the worry is on us, not on end users.

Bevel's in the details

As engineers we love to make things square. We share a tumultuous relationship with designers, their round shapes and pretty renders. When it all comes together products are simple to handle, bring sky-high value to their users, and display a touch of wonder - this is where we thrive. By making complex details look so simple they feel like magic.

Extreme value

Yes, our paper is unmatched but the real reason our pricing is so high - it's because at every step of the way, we go the extra mile to push the limits of what's feasible with paper. Each of our DIY set delivers so much value - the right type with a user-centric approach, not the feature-packed rabbit hole for products solely based on spec sheets.

Creator One

The engineering process doesn't follow any rules when you're building something from scratch without any benchmark or pointers to whatever is the right direction to take, or what decision to make. Creator One was paramount in defining what is premium paper DIY and why it matters to consumers.
