Our design principles

Building one-of-a-kind products and experiences requires dedication, consistency, and a whole lot of focus. Our team came up with four core design principles that keep us on track no matter the hurdles and sidewalks we take on the way.

Write and tell stories

As a creator brand we want to inspire but especially, lead by example. We want to be the positive trigger for our customers to start dreaming more, creating more, and sharing their craft with the ones who matter to them. This is why it’s important to us to write and tell stories under our own license: to show you that if we can do it, you can too.

Design for wonder

For our customers to buy a premium product they then have to assemble themselves, we owe it to them to design that extra sparkle that will surprise, delight, and wow. We always go beyond what any other paper DIY brand would go - infusing wonder in every interaction, as in ‘almost magical’.

Build for co-creation

Our co-creation approach builds up a sense of consumer ownership through DIY and story personalisation. It’s also a strategic bid for us to design products and experiences which are UGC-friendly - a product you participated in and you're proud of sharing within your network and communities.

Craft the precise and soothing

Building the magical for a creator brand often means excelling in engineering, but also truly caring about the experience provided to customers. In our case a tangible way to back our set assemblers is to provide them with a DIY experience they will be impatient about - an experience where focus and calm work hand in hand.

Creator One

To design a product like Creator One, it takes us about 4 months from concept to working prototype. The story was already written and we then had to hand our designs over to the industrialisation team. All along, we work with engineers to ensure our visuals are robust and work as intended for the end user.
