Engineer at heart, I spent two years with some of Europe's greatest creative minds to design FOLDORI's very first experience: Sunrise Dreams.
As a small team of multi-faceted specialists, we gathered to deliver this world's first concept entirely from scratch.
It all started with the story. A 3.000-word original short story narrating The Encounter between three characters or 'heroes'. After we wrote it, it was evident that the characters and their captured moment deserved more than paper. It deserved paper on a whole new level.
In the beginning of 2025, we brought in more people in to take on a challenge: bringing a storyline to life with three-dimensional paper.
This is when the fictional Creative Sidekicks™ were born. To explain a completely new approach to visual storytelling, DIY and advanced paper engineering, we had to align a team of instantly recognizable legends, each expert in their field: Q is the tech-savvy, british gentleman; Mary is the caring yet fully commmitted art teacher; Hermione gets things done as an infinite, reliable source of knowledge and Samwise, the most loyal sidekick ever, is the voice of all the people who join our movement, be them as customers or through our FOLDORI Studio open initiative.
Today, we're proud to have reinvented the art form of Paper DIY and to package it as a premium experience for art enthusiasts and fiction lovers all across Europe.
