Timothée Père

Previously published the poetry book How we made you shine

Timothée is the founder of FOLDORI, the engineer who designs its kits, and the author who wrote the Sunrise Dreams saga. Those three roles matter because they solve the same problem: how do you make something people finish themselves and claim as their own? The answer is precision. A fold sequence that locks without glue requires the same discipline as a chapter that carries emotional weight across three books. Both invite the person on the other side to complete the work.

From consumer electronics to paper

Before FOLDORI, Timothée spent years in consumer electronics. That background is why the kits feel engineered rather than crafted in the decorative sense. The decision to use paper as the raw material came from three constraints: low capital expense to start, ease of transformation (a laser cutter and Italian mills), and the belief that creative work should advocate for individual agency. Paper rewards precision when you treat it seriously. It does not require a factory to begin; it scales when the work earns it. The mission is to re-industrialize Europe one step at a time. Paper is the first material that makes that possible at FOLDORI's scale.

Engineering meets storytelling

Timothée writes the Sunrise Dreams saga himself. All three books. He also builds every kit himself before it ships to customers, testing each fold sequence to confirm it holds without adhesive. The two disciplines overlap: both require you to respect the material, whether that material is a 250-gram Italian paper stock or a narrative arc across three companions. The Classic Set and the books share the same premise. The work begins with Timothée; the customer finishes it. Ownership lives in that gap.

The belief

FOLDORI exists because Timothée believes Europeans can claim ownership of their individual futures, together. That belief shapes the kits: you assemble them yourself, so the result is yours. It shapes the story: Moonsoon, Noelani, and Speeon each leave home to save something larger than themselves, but the journey is theirs to walk. The 10-year ambition is to build a loved brand in the adult-native creative space, with LEGO as the reference for what staying power looks like when a brand earns trust over decades. The gesture toward community is already visible: Builds of Fame showcases what customers create; FOLDORI Studio opens co-creation to European talents who want to design within this universe. The work is not one founder's empire. It is a space that grows when others join.

You are finishing a kit and a story that Timothée started. The next step is yours.

Story excerpts

Moonsoon’s long-time dream to explore the lands beyond the Silvia Forest finally caught up. No regrets, no hopes: just jump and fly. On the riverbank appears Noelani, a young girl who just started her adventure. And at her side Speeon, the spirited deer forever companion of the young girl.
