Every FOLDORI set is designed, printed, and assembled in the European Union. This is not a marketing claim—it is how the products are made, from first sketch to final packaging.

Why European production matters

Working with European paper mills and laser-cutting facilities means shorter supply chains, stricter environmental standards, and direct relationships with craftspeople who understand the material. It also means the carbon footprint of shipping is lower than if components traveled across continents before reaching you.

The paper stock comes from Italian mills with centuries of papermaking heritage. These mills produce acid-free, lignin-free sheets that age without yellowing or becoming brittle. The laser cutting happens in workshops that specialize in precision die-cutting for archival and fine-art applications.

What Made in EU guarantees

EU manufacturing regulations enforce labor standards, material traceability, and environmental compliance that exceed voluntary pledges. When a product is made in the EU, these protections are legally required—not optional.

For FOLDORI, this means the paper mills document their wood sourcing, the printing inks meet VOC limits, and the laser-cutting facilities comply with occupational safety and waste disposal laws. These are not brand-specific commitments; they are baseline regulatory requirements across the supply chain.

From concept to kit

Each Sunrise Dreams set begins as a hand-drawn scene. The artwork is digitized, color-separated for offset printing, and then engineered into multiple layers that align without glue or tools. The laser cutter traces each shape with sub-millimeter precision. The layers are stacked, inspected, and packaged in kraft boxes printed with soy-based inks.

Every step—design, proofing, printing, cutting, assembly—happens within the EU. This is not about nationalism. It is about control, consistency, and environmental accountability in a supply chain short enough to verify.
