How co-creation really works

A fellowship of creator

I, as Samwise, often say that Q and Mary are the hands of FOLDORI, but our community is its soul. Our art sets are more than products; as a key partner in this endeavour, we want to offer you a seat at the table. Whether you're a writer in Berlin, a drawing artist in Lyon, an paper engineer in Milan, or a LEGO enthusiast in Madrid, your unique perspective is what keeps the Silvia Forest growing.

But how does an idea become a tangible DIY kit ready to become an art piece for shelf display? Here's a simple, three-stage journey to bring us there altogether.

1. Step One: the Open Door

Because we're committed to the excellence of craft in everything we do, we don't rush the creative process.

Any European creator can subscribe to our FOLDORI Studio's Open Door via our website (foldori.com/creators-welcome). Once you join, I’ll reach out via WhatsApp. This is not a formal interview; it’s a conversation. I want to know what kind of "Hero" lives in your imagination. I act as your advocate. My job is to gather the most inspiring concepts and present them to Q and Mary when the Studio is ready to begin a new concepting cycle.

2. Step Two: the Co-Creation phase

If your concept is selected, you enter the Prototyping Lab with us: not as a freelancer, but as a creative partner. We work with you to translate your concept into a FOLDORI-type architecture. Based on your contribution, we decide together how heroes interact with the story and its mini-world. Does your character meet Noelani? Do they hide in Speeon’s night sky?

3. Step Three: the Royalties reward

Creativity must be sustainable. If your project is brought to market as a consumer product, you become a stakeholder in its success.

For every set sold that features your original concept, you receive a percentage of the revenue. You’ll have a clear view of how your contribution is performing across Europe. We handle the hard work of making your concept real and into the hands of happy customers while you receive the rewards for the spark that started it all.

The loyal sidekick promise

I know business can sometimes feel cold, but at FOLDORI, it’s just a way to make sure our fellowship can keep dreaming for years to come. I’m here to manage the messy parts: schedules, payments, coordination, etc. so you can stay focused on the magic of your story.

The Open Door is officially open. We aren't looking for 'perfect' resumes; we are looking for excellent hearts. If you have a character waiting in the wings of your mind, come and tell me about them. If you have a story that's ready to unfold, come and tell me about it. If you have something that need help to grow, come and tell me. I’m already putting the kettle on and waiting for your message.
