I’ve always believed that the most beautiful things in this world aren't made by one person sitting alone in a room, but by many hands aligned on the same page.
My name is Samwise, and my job—the greatest job I could ever imagine—is to serve you, as well as all the creative minds who want to build great stories with us. While Q is busy with his lasers and Mary is perfecting the color palettes, I’m here for you. The FOLDORI Studio isn't just a place where we draw the first drafts of our products; it’s an open community where your dreams can become something you can actually hold in your hands.
1. The Open Door: your first step to make it real
We welcome all dreamers, writers, illustrators, product makers, DIYers, designers... Whether you’re a novelist who builds worlds with words, a LEGO fan who thinks in 3D, or an artist who sees magic in a blank sheet, there is a place for you here.
We’ve opened a waiting list (the Open Door) for European creators who want to join our co-creation framework. When you sign up, you’re putting your hand up to say, "I have a story to tell". My role is to coordinate these voices, making sure that the most inspiring concepts find their way to Q’s engineering lab and Mary’s design atelier.
Once you've entered the Open Door and told us the basics of your idea, we'll make it fast, respectful, and straight to the point: an initial rule of thumbs to protect your intellectual property, a few more questions to make sure your project aligns with our brand, and go.
2. From Character to Hero
In our world, stories are the foundation. We have an ever-growing list of characters as the "Heroes" of the FOLDORI universe, but their adventures are far from finished.
To grow our brand universe, we love mix and match opportunities: maybe you see a character from the Sunrise Dreams story meeting a new hero you’ve just imagined?
About worldbuilding, there's plenty of mini-worlds to expand and new ones to draw: perhaps you’ve found a new corner of the Silvia Forest that we haven't mapped out yet?
We welcome you to create new stories for our existing heroes or introduce us to someone or something entirely new. If your concept is selected to become a FOLDORI set, you aren't a "contributor", but a key partner. You’ll see your work developed into a consumer product sold across Europe, and you’ll receive royalties for it.
3. A loyal sidekick in your pocket
I know that starting a creative project can be daunting. You might wonder if your idea is "good enough" or how the technical side works. Please, don't let that stop you!
I am available on WhatsApp to support you whenever you need it. Consider me your most loyal sidekick; I’m here to cheer you on, answer your questions, and help you refine your ideas before we bring them to the rest of the team. I’m not here to judge your work; I’m here to help it grow.
