Orchestrating an abundance of wonder

Art adds up

In the Sunrise Dreams: Classic Set, we witnessed the first meeting of our heroes. But the Silvia Forest is a living ecosystem, and the Sunrise Dreams: Full Suite is our way of inviting you to explore its furthest corners.

Adding 122 extra DIY elements is about deepening the dialogue between the characters. My challenge in the Atelier was to ensure that even with every extension kit applied, the scenery maintains its harmony. Whether you choose to follow our FOLDORI Studio composition ideas or find your own path, you're the final conductor of this visual symphony.

Balance found in abundance

To design a clutter-free forest, we’ve set the Full Suite to work in conversation with the existing ten layers. Extension kits do not add new layers; instead, extra elements are sticked directly onto the scenery you’ve already built.

In your Design Handbook, you’ll find a double-page spread comparing the Classic Set assembly with the Full Suite composition. It serves as your idea map for placing Noelani’s rabbits or Speeon’s spirits. While we provide ideas, we encourage you to "pick and stick" only what resonates with you, as well as to "mix and match" between multiple extension kits based on your favourite Sunrise Dreams characters. Your FOLDORI set should feel as unique as your own story.

Moonsoon’s blues: adventuring beyond the Silvia Forest

Moonsoon's Blue Forest extension (27 elements) provides even more blue elements to grow the owl's imprint on his lieftime guardianship of the forest. By adding more bushes, blue greeneries and flora, you will give a stronger voice to the wise but naturally reserved and humble aura of Moonsoon.

This also emphasizes the hero's wish to adventure out of his homeland, exploring new grounds beyond the Silvia Forest after the encounter of his new companions, Noelani and Speeon.

Noelani’s bloom: a new chromatic dialogue

Noelani’s Colorful Life extension (47 elements) introduces a daring new hue to our world: purple-toned sakura flowers. While purple is a new range, it pairs exquisitely with Noelani's orange radiation. It unfolds a bloom of life wherever she walks.

We’ve included pale yellow flower bushes that match the lighter, unprinted tones of the paper, ensuring the new colours feel like a natural evolution of the forest rather than an intrusion.

Speeon’s ghostly spirits: a tactile magic

Speeon’s Nightly Spirits extension (48 elements) are perhaps my favourite achievement in tactile design. We selected a specific mass-tinted white paper for these spirits. It isn't just a colour. It feels "ghostly" to the touch: soft, with a high grammage that gives them a physical presence.

As you add to the last layer with our new dark blue night sky, you can place these spirits anywhere from the foreground (Layer 1) to the deeper ground (Layer 9), watching them dance under the big moon and its white stars.

Building over time vs. all-at-once

While you can purchase and add these extensions individually, there is a certain magic in having the Full Suite in front of you from the start.

Assembling layer by layer with the 14 default elements plus the 122 extra elements available allows you to see the full view of the art direction. You can ensure that a fish in Layer 2 doesn't block a rabbit in Layer 3.

We know that very often, you might choose the extension that represents yourself or your partner most. Whether you're the wise owl, the adventurous girl, or the nightly spirit, your choice makes the set a personal mirror.

An extension is an opportunity for self-discovery. By choosing which hero to emphasize, you're telling the Silvia Forest who you are. Remember, there is no 'wrong' placement: only the composition that makes your heart skip a beat when the light hits it just right.
