In the world of FOLDORI, we do not believe in accidental colours. Every shade you see in your art set is a deliberate choice made to guide your heart through the Silvia Forest. When you first open the premium case, you're greeted by an abundance of tones that represent the encounter of our three heroes.
The Sunrise Dreams: Classic Set palette is a dialogue between the cool and the radiant. The calm blue represents the wisdom of Moonsoon, the owl guardian of the forest. This is contrasted by the vibrant orange as Noelani's aura, our adventurous young lead. This orange is unwrapped creativity radiating through the mist, blissfully anchored by the ethereal magic of Speeon, the deer spirit.
Our secret gradient: designing for depth
If you look closely at the foliage when you stack your ten layers, you will notice a subtle Mary-approved magic. As the scenery recedes toward the horizon, the orange tones of the trees grow lighter and yellower, gradually approaching the raw, unprinted color of the paper itself.
This is what we call Perspective Hue. While the physical 2mm ivory stripes provide the actual depth, the colour gradient provides the emotional depth. When properly lit, whether by a soft desk lamp or the natural rays of the morning sun, the light catches these lighter rear layers, creating a glow that makes the forest feel warmer and deeper. It's a detail only the keen eye will catch, that the heart immediately feels.

The Valentine’s narrative
Here, we replace the blue sky with a mass-tinted Pastel Pink. Moonsoon, Noelani, and Speeon all take on this soft hue, unified in a story of affection. The sun becomes a red rose, and the forest bears heart-shaped fruits. It is a visual poem about finding one's heart in the company of others.
The LNY radiance
This is the crown of the Silvia Forest. The blue sky is traded for a Vermilion Red, and Speeon transforms into a Golden Horse. The addition of gold Yuanbao (sycee) elements creates a visual weight that feels regal. Culturally, this gold acts as a halo for the forest, signifying a prosperity that is shared between the gift-giver and the receiver.
The crown jewel: a new, celebratory case
Before you even reach the first fold, you encounter our premium case. I've spent many hours ensuring this first contact feels magical. For this new year we've selected a paper that is textured and soft, in a new Red that prepares the mind for the celebration of shared moments, in comparison to our signature Tangerine case for the creative experience of the Sunrise Dreams: Classic Set.
The lid is a feat of design: a mixture of white Pantone and silver lines printing creates the delicate outlines of the forest, with the FOLDORI name and logo embossed in the center: a tactile promise of the premium quality you're about to build. And the protective shell for the story you're about to tell.
The five keys of Harmony
While our 5 pictograms (Fold, Peel, Stick, Stack, Strap) are technical steps, I view them as the rhythm of the art. As you peel and stick your DIY elements, think of them as the highlights of your painting; even more so if you purchased hero-based extension kits, there you own the final layout and composition of your art piece!
To make the colours truly sing in harmony, place your finished set where light can hit it from a 45-degree angle. This accentuates the shadows between the layers and lets the orange-to-yellow gradient perform its beautiful, vanishing act.
